Overview
#The Garden Route Game Lodge As the name suggests, the Garden Route Game Lodge is situated at the entrance to the Garden Route, with the impressive Langeberg Mountains as backdrop. The lodge is situated on farm land that is being rehabilitated for game purposes. Due to limited space, it is not a game reserve in the normal sense, e.g. predators are kept separate from the other animals. Yet, it offers the opportunity to see a large variety of animals and birds, including the big five.
Morning and evening game drives in open Landrovers are conducted by knowledgeable rangers who give information regarding the animals as well as the birds and African folklore attached to them. The Lodge offers walking with cheetahs, elephant feeding, reptile encounters and a bird walk.
Accommodation is in luxury thatched chalets or bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant offers the opportunity to enjoy your meals on an open wooden deck overlooking the valley below.
