The Hermanus Full Day Tour
Overview
You will be collected at your hotel in Cape Town for the full day tour to Hermanus. The drive to and from Hermanus is scenic with good photo opportunities. The main attraction is the town of Hermanus, known as the best land based venue for whale watching in South Africa. Whales come from the Antarctic into the southern coastal waters to give birth and to suckle their young. The whale watching season is normally from July to the end of October. The ideal spot in Hermanus for this land based whale watching experience is Walker Bay. On your way back to Cape Town you can visit the rare African Penguins at Betty's Bay (own account). The return trip is along the scenic route via Elgin and Sir Lowry’s Pass.
