##Graskop Graskop is a small logging town situated on the Mpumalanga Highveld, right on the edge of the escarpment with easy access to the Lowveld. Graskop is an Afrikaans word meaning "head of grass" or "grassy hillock". It is the perfect base from which to explore the magnificently scenic Panorama Route.

#Graskop Graskop is a small logging town situated on the Mpumalanga Highveld, right on the edge of the escarpment with easy access to the Lowveld. Graskop is an Afrikaans word meaning "head of grass" or "grassy hillock". It is the perfect base from which to explore the magnificently scenic Panorama Route. The town, at an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level, has a temperate climate with a high rainfall and is often misty in the summer months.

In addition to The Panorama Route, there are a number of scenic waterfalls in the area worth a visit, such as Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls and Mac Mac Falls. The historic mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest is about 30 minutes drive from Graskop.

The town center offers a number of interesting curio and weaving shops to visit. Harry's Pancake Palace is worth a visit (Pancakes = Crepes).

The mid-range Mogodi Lodge has a perfect location on the edge of the Graskop Gorge with views over the Lowveld. It is well situated to explore the area.
