Overview
#Panorama Route The scenic Panorama Route, with various viewpoints, runs along the top of a section of the escarpment between the Mpumalanga Highveld and Lowveld. It offers incredible views and we strongly recommend it. The Route may be approached from Ohrigstad or from the logging town of Graskop.
The Panorama route includes the following attractions: (1) The Pinnacle a vertical rock column in a narrow gorge. Looking down on the gorge the pinnacle is accentuated against a backdrop of the Lowveld a few hundred meters below. (2) God’s Window with pathways on the edge of the escarpment that takes you to different viewpoints with views on the Lowveld. (3) World’s view offers wonderful views over the Lowveld. This viewpoint is favored by buses due to easy access. (4) Bourke's Luck Potholes are situated at the confluence of the Treur and Breede Rivers where the fast flowing water, over millions of years, eroded the rocks causing huge very scenic round potholes. (5) The Three Rondavels viewpoint this viewpoint offers views over the Blyde River canyon with three buttresses on the Eastern side that resemble three rondavels (traditional round shape for huts).
