Overview
#Wonder View The Panorama Route runs along the Eastern edge of the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains with a drop of more than 900 m to the Lowveld below. This makes for wonderful views over the Lowveld. On a clear day it is possible to see the Kruger National Park in the distance and beyond it the Lebombo mountains that form the Eastern border of South Africa. From here you have an 180 degree view along the escarpment and of the landscape of tree plantations on rolling hills and dams in the distance.
The Panorama Route has ‘n number of viewpoints where tourist can stop to enjoy these views. Of the possible stops, Wonder view is the highest and the easiest to reach as the parking spot is right next to the viewpoint. Because of the easy parking, coaches prefer to take tourists to this spot.
