3 Day Classic Safari Experience Scheduled tour
Overview
Clients will be collected from hotels in Rosebank, Sandton and the OR Tambo International Airport, to travel overland to the Kruger National Park. The route will take you on the national road through Machadodorp to the Kruger Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in your luxury safari cruiser. Dinner to be enjoyed at Pretoriuskop Restcamp (or similar) where you overnight.
Day two involves a full day of game viewing starting with a pre-breakfast game drive in your closed vehicle. Experience the wonder of an African game viewing experience with the opportunity to see a multitude of bird and animals species, including (if you are fortunate) the big five. A lunch stop will be at one of the Restcamps (own account). An optional full day safari in an open safari vehicle is available (own account). You return to Pretoriuskop for dinner while you reminisce on your safari in the African bush.
On day three you return to Johannesburg to arrive (late afternoon) at your hotel or at the OR Tambo International Airport.
Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg to Kruger National Park (±488 km)
Clients will be collected at hotels in Rosebank, Sandton and the OR Tambo International Airport. Depart for your overland tour to the Kruger National Park. The route will take you into the Mpumalanga Province. ‘Mpumalanga’ in the local African language means ‘place where the sun rises’. Travel through the mountainous highveld before the landscape drops down into the sub tropical Lowveld where the Kruger National Park is situated. Your bushveld experience starts when you enter this wonderful reserve for a game drive in your luxury safari cruiser.
The Kruger Park boasts an incredible variety of fauna and flora, including 147 mammal species, 114 reptiles and 336 tree species. The day ends at the Pretoriuskop Rest Camp, where you overnight for 2 nights and enjoy dinner. Admire the wonderful bushveld starry sky before turning in for a good nights rest.

- Day 2
Full day in the Kruger National Park
The whole day will be devoted to a game drive in the Kruger National Park in your luxury closed safari vehicle. You depart early, before breakfast, as this is the best time to find animals. Enjoy the diversity of plants (1,982 species) and birds (507 species) while looking for animals including the big five. You might be fortunate to see some or all of them.
Lunch will be at one of the rest camps in the Park (own account). Use the opportunity to refresh before continuing the rest of the game drive.
At the end of the day, return to Pretoriuskop to refresh before dinner. Enjoy reminiscing about your safari experience

- Day 3 Kruger National Park → Johannesburg
Kruger National Park to Johannesburg via Pilgrim’s Rest (±460 km)
After breakfast, you check out and start your return trip via Graskop and the Long Tom Pass.
You stop for lunch en route (own account). You pass by Dullstroom, known for trout fishing and travel through Belfast, a region that exports tulip bulbs to Holland.
On arrival in Johannesburg you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the OR Tambo International Airport.
Note: We recommend that you do not book your return flight for this day, as the arrival time in Johannesburg cannot be guaranteed.
